Come to the Bike Rodeo at Earth Day!
Tautphaus Park during Earth Day, Saturday, April 26th, 2008
10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Look for us at the Skate Park (Next to Funland)

  • Learn hands-on cycling skills and safe street riding – bring your bike and helmet!

  • Get your bike tuned and adjusted by onsite mechanic

  • Interactive video game teaches safe street riding

  • Kids completing the course will be eligible for the helmet raffle (40 helmets to be raffled)

  • Ride around the park with a bicycle policeman
     

Bonneville Metropolitan Planning Organization, together with Idaho Falls Community Pathways will be putting on a bike rodeo from 10-4 at Earth Day. The Bike Rodeo will have several stations teaching young bike riders basic bicycling skills (bring your own bike and helmet!). Each child completing the course will be eligible for the helmet raffle (40 helmets to be raffled). Also present at the rodeo will be bike mechanics who can tune and make adjustments, if needed, to participants’ bikes. Adults are also invited to complete the course but will not be eligible for helmets. Bicycle policemen will be on hand to escort rides around the park.
